Square 9 Softworks Releases Scan
Portal for Kofax Document Scan Server
New Haven, CT June 8, 2007 - Square 9 Softworks (S9S)
announced its release of the Square 9 Softworks Scan
Portal for Kofax Document Scan Server, a true thin
client solution for document scanning. Through its
Technology Alliance Partnership with Kofax, Square 9
Softworks created a scan portal as a full featured web
based scanning tool that integrates tightly with Kofax’s
Document Scan Server. Kofax’s Document Scan Server
enables organizations to add scanning capabilities to
any enterprise business application without disrupting
their current business process.

Scan Server delivers an integrated software/hardware

reduce the cost and complexity of capture deployments.
Beyond its superior web based scanning capabilities, the
Square 9 Softworks Scan Portal for Kofax Document Scan
Server also offers image processing tools such as Image
Auto Crop, De-Skew, De-Speckle, Scale to Gray and Blank
Page Deletion. Users can then index the processed images
and release them directly to Kofax Ascent Capture or as
Image Files with XML data for import into any other
third party application. Kofax Ascent Capture
accelerates business processes by collecting paper
documents, forms and e-documents, thereby transforming
them into accurate, retrievable information, and
delivering the content into an organization’s business
applications and databases.
